I have been so busy over the last few months that my poor little blog has been neglected. I thought that in January and February, normally my slow season, I would be able to catch up on blog posts and some office stuff, but you guys have been keeping me busy! Thank you so much. My business is growing by leaps and bounds and it is seriously all because of you guys! I have even had to move my office into a larger space, thanks to my wonderful hubby for that!
I am going to be doing several blog posts today.
And because I can’t leave you without a picture here is one of my little guy on one of the MANY snow days we have had… I love him and his CRAZY curly hair.

A Father’s Song – Please click on this link to listen to the song first or you might not understand this post (if you right click on the link you can open it in a new tab or window)
A lot of you know that my husband is in the professional bluegrass band Blue Moon Rising, if you didn’t know that, you do now
. As I sit here typing this watching it snow in the reflection of my iMac and getting ready for a session, while our 2 year old plays with his cars and our 6 year old is getting spoiled by Mamaw, my husband/their daddy is on the road to a show. He called me up earlier to listen to a song; Darrell Scott’s A Fathers Song (the song above). This song defines my husband.
Musicians are mistake as horrible people who don’t care about their family and would rather put music before their family but that is NOT always the case. It is often considered an oxymoron to be a family man and musician on the road! There has been MANY time my husband has not even been out of our neighborhood and I will have to wipe the tears from our 6 year old or deal with a 2 year old tantrum all because they just wanted daddy to stay home this weekend. They just don’t understand that daddy has a “fire” so strong that we can’t keep him here and he does this for them. I promise them that Sunday or Monday he will be back to us, and all 4 of us snuggled up in our King bed until they fall fast asleep. They might not understand now, but one day they will know that he does this for them!
So next time that you are at a show or a festival, I beg you, please thank them (whoever it might be) for the sacrifices, tear-filled phone calls, missed holidays and missed birthdays all so that you could have an amazing holiday/weekend with YOUR family.
If one day my husband does ever decides to leave music, I KNOW that that music will never leave him because it is his passion and that will never leave him. I love my husband and my love includes loving his passion so I will be here to wipe the tears of sadness until he can get back home to wipe the tears of happiness.
If you liked the song above Darrell is actually giving a free download of it away!
Here is a picture of my husband playing his pre-war bass.

Two years ago today I was admitted into the hospital for my scheduled C-Section, 2 weeks early and I had been about to die for him to come for over a month (well really since I found out I was pregnant). Little did I know how much this little guy would change our lives.
At 8:14 am I saw this perfect little face pop over the sheet that they had put up. You weighed 8.47 lbs (I am SO glad that I did not have to wait 2 more weeks) and was 20 1/2 inches long.

Just a few of the little things I love about Parker…
- You are a BIG mama’s boy
- How you LOVES to snuggle and have since you were born
- How that your best-friends are Buzz & Woody
- How you are 100% PURE boy
- How you love all things cars BUT…
- Will only play with Pixar Cars
- When you drop something that you say ‘ahhhh beeee’ (Ohhhh Man)
- How you call a motorcycle a ‘BI-KUL’
- How you willingly let me come get you out of your bed in the middle of the night just for a snuggle
- That I can’t go to sleep without you snuggled up next to me! Even if it means that I have to get back up in the middle of the night to put you back in your bed because you have just about kick, punched and rolled all over me and Tony.
- I love when I snuggle up to you at night that you smell like your bath.
- Your crazy curly hair!
- How when I ask you “do you know I love you?” you say ‘YES’
- When you need help with something you say ‘nee help’
- I love that you made me and daddy break our rule of NO BABIES IN THE BED all because you loved to be snuggled up and would not go to sleep without being snuggled.
- When you get sleepy you get your ‘bink’ (blanket) and rub your eye until you almost fall asleep.
- How much that you love your ‘pa-c’ (pacifier) and ‘bink’
There are so many more but it would take days to list them all!
Sorry for the BlackBerry picture but my oldest is sick and I have not had time to do his 2 year old session. I promise I will get some good pictures up soon!

Six years ago, my sister and I got the GIRLS together to take some Easter pictures of them. Last year it went from “the girls” to “the kids” when I had the first boy of the family. Last year he was easy to get pictures of since he was only 7/8 months old. This year he gave me a run for my money. Why is it easier to photograph someone else’s kids? I had two WONDERFUL assistants (my mom and sister) who with their help I was able to get some amazing shots.
I can’t wait until next year and we will have Mr. Noah to add to the pictures! We went from no boy to 2 boys in less than 2 years.

So this is how I spent last weekend…you may be thinking WOW she got to go watch the UT vs UCLA game and yes I was there in body but I can honestly tell you that I remember very little of this game except what I saw on TV when we got home. Daddy decided to take the oldest to her first UT game. On Friday, we go to town and get her a new shirt because her shirt from last year was too small. We take baby brother to the grandparent’s house because mommy really could not deal with a 1-year-old at the game and I admire those parents that brave a 4-hour game with a baby! So daddy tells us that we will be leaving the house at 8 AM (for those of you who do not know the game started at 4 PM). After I pout a little because Saturday is the only day I get to sleep past 7 AM we get ready for bed. We wake up bright and EARLY and head to Greeneville to meet up with some friends. We stop at a Food City on the way to Knoxville to get food for Tailgating. We are giving her the FULL game experience, daddy’s idea not mine. We finally get to Knoxville at 10:30ish and start setting up. She is so excited to be here. Well about an hour later she has already started to complain that it is hot, so I go to the car and get a hair bow to pull her hair back and she does not want this “okay then I do not want to hear you say you are hot” but she does want her sunglasses. Why do children’s sunglasses look like Elton John designed them? So we finally eat but not after some of the burgers went into the grass! Daddy wanted her to see the Vol Walk at two so we start the 15-mile walk, well not really but in all the people it felt like 15 miles, we get there all it is a sea of orange and white, not a single spot that is close, and we got there 30 minutes early. We watch the Vol Walk and then decide to head on in and get to our seats. So we go to our seats and the game starts and literally 5 minutes into the game she was DONE I heard her little voice over the crowd “mommy is it almost over” great this is going to be a long game! So during the game she fell asleep on me and complained the whole time! Note to self: Five -year-old daughter NOT READY TO GO TO A FOOTBALL GAME. In her defense, I think that she would have been fine if we just made it for the game but she had already had a full day before that! Also, row 18 seats mean NOTHING to a 5-year-old, but to daddy it means a lot! So after the game was over we went back to the car and sit for about an hour before we even tried to leave so by the time we got home it was 11 PM. I had such a headache by the time we got home! This is pretty much how we spent last weekend. Hope yours went better!
This was before she was done.

Here is a vintage edit for you…102,000 (not sure the exact number) people at the game.

Here is an update of what I have been into…
I just finished a photography workshop by the AMAZING Marta Locklear. She is an amazing artist, photographer and really just an amazing person! I am so excited to share my growth as a photographer with you guys. I feel that I have grown a lot over the past 3 weeks and have found “myself” as a photographer. Here are a few pictures from our final assignment.

Notice he is picking the one green grape!

He found out that he could eat the grapes and not just squish them in his hand and he wanted to share.

I just love this one!

I have been so bad about updating my blog and I am sorry for that! Next week I be posting some exciting stuff for you guys so just be patient with me.
Here is a little guy that I truly love more than life. On 08/19/08 at 8:14 AM my little family of 3 welcomed this guy into our lives and we have been forever changed. He was the first boy on my side so needless to say, he is spoiled just a little bit and mommy & big sister do not help with that! Here are a few pictures of him that I took for his 1 years session!
Daddy is a Cowboys fan!
