We headed to Gatlinburg to the Hemlock Hills Gatlinburg Resort where this owl themed wedding took place. It was a very relaxed setting having everyone in a cabin getting ready hanging out, heading down to Hemlock Hills Wedding Chapel (which was just down the hill from the cabin) for the ceremony and then back up to the cabin for the reception.
We traveled to the Knoxville/Townsend area for a wedding at The Barn Event Center of the Smokies - such a gorgeous venue! We had so much fun spending this cold (snowy) day in February with Shannon and Hunter.
I love engagement sessions. I also love to see how creative my clients have gotten since the existence of Pinterest. When I got to the session they had been working hard all day and had a vintage living room set up. Poor Isaac was battling some severe allergies/sinus infection, but he was a trooper that’s for sure!! And I am in LOVE with her ring!! Oh and for the record it is A LOT harder than it sound to take flowers and make a heart, but very much worth it!
And YES that is a new logo that you see on the photos. There will be some more updates happening (soon) around the blog, keep checking back.
I know it has been pretty quiet around here lately, but we have had a lot of things in the works (and A LOT to blog) and I am super excited to get to announce one now to you guys.
Back in April I had an unplanned surgery and my husband, Tony, had to help me out on some of the admin type stuff for a couple of weeks while I was recovering on the couch and we realized that the system seemed to work quite well for us. So Tony will be responding to emails, Facebook messages, handling the bookings, and other things around Erica Mowell Photography. Some of you guys have met Tony at your wedding as the second photographer, he will continue to help me out there as well.
Here is a picture of him at a recent session with me feeding the ducks. I think it freaked him out that the duck jumped like a dog for the bread, I know it did me!!
